Safety Tips:

• Never leave a hot stove unattended. Turn off the stove if you must leave the kitchen, even briefly.
  
• Be prepared, put a lid on grease fires. Have a lid for every pan or skillet should a fire start. 
  
• Keep your cooking space clear of clutter. Place items that easily catch on fire away from hot stoves.
  
• Establish a "no child zone" when cooking. Teach children it's not safe to play within 3 feet of stoves. 
  
• Reduce the risk, have a working smoke alarm. Test your alarms monthly, replace batteries twice a year.
